The US won a big WTO case against China last year on TRQ administration for wheat, maize and rice. China agreed to comply. So how is implementation going? Here are the results through the first half of year. 1/n
Here is maize (corn) and rice: Note that cumulative wheat and maize imports running above range of last 5 years; . 2/n
Rice is running at low end of the range however. 3/n
A lot of time left in year to fill the TRQs. US corn and wheat exports in June and July, as well as outstanding sales reported for this and next marketing year are hopeful signs that China will comply. Rice still a big question mark. 3/n
