My twitter rant today will be on things I hear while watching 13u travel baseball. Please enjoy.
Up first: Do you know why you missed that pitch? Your back elbow collapsed and your front foot turned 12° to far causing your hips to internally rotate. It’s not that difficult
Coach to coach: After 3 bounces fastballs... this kid has D1 plate recognition
Can’t make this one up...

“11-12 batters have seen first pitch strikes... your throwing too many strikes right away... try to nibble and see if they chase”
You hit it hard! The turf just slowed it down....
1 out runner on third and ball hit back to pitcher.
Coach to rubber at third “ you obviously aren’t ready to score” You should have went Home there! Pay attention!
Guys I played Varsity baseball.. I know what I’m talking about!
Kid steals 2nd.. Coach: everything about that stolen base was terrible! Fix it!
Guys.. you need to follow this approach. I don’t care about results. But we need to get hits!!!
Coach to kid sliding into 3rd. Slide feet first! This is not a Slip and Slide!
D1 coaches watch what you do in these games. They track it! Trust me I could of went D1 but I didn’t want to
Might be my favorite so far.... player hits ball right back to pitcher on a line...

This is why your launch angle needs to be higher!! You missed out on a hit!
