BURNOUT 🧠🔥

All day every day we talk about hustling, grinding, engaging, working hard, working smart, and REPEATING

Even if you have the capacity to do so, you shouldn’t be telling people to do this 24/7!

Not everyone can. It’s not healthy and your body NEEDS to recharge
I’ve experienced burnout before.

I worked on a project for practically 3 weeks straight with >5 hours sleep every night.

After that period, I physically and mentally couldn’t function properly for at least a month

My body had to recover from it and completely restore itself.
I always regretted not starting this project sooner and more efficiently distributing my workload over a longer period of time

I wasted a whole month of my life

My dumb ass didn’t know it then, but I make sure I’ll never do that again
Things to watch out for:

- negative behavioural changes
- inner emptiness
- depersonalisation
- neglecting your health and personal needs
Things you can do to prevent it:

- Exercise regularly
- Get social time (we’re social creatures and this is part of our basic human needs)
- Get enough sleep (7/8 hours is 💯)
- Eat healthy food (as unprocessed as possible!)
