Today is the final submission date for the #brilliantbarrow proposal which could bring £30m into the town. We wanted to mark this momentous occasion by taking a look back at all of the projects that we hope will soon be brought to life in Barrow. 
A university campus would be a valuable addition to the education sector in Barrow. Along with a Skills Hub, this project will be a huge benefit for the next generation, it will help meet Barrow's need for higher-level advanced academic and encourage people to study in the town.
One of the things that makes Barrow Brilliant is its community. The hubs will allow residents in Barrow to access services and improve their skills as well as learning new ones. a new outdoor centre will provide access to Barrows fantastic natural assets and outdoor education.
Our aim is to make Barrow a town that is thriving with successful companies, local businesses and social entrepreneurs. The Business Support project will provide guidance and advice for business owners and will create a supportive environment to boost Barrow's enterprise overall.
This exciting project will vastly improve the infrastructure and connectivity in Barrow with 11.5km of new cycle paths. We hope this introduction of new walking and cycle pathways will replace short car trips with journeys on bicycle or foot.
A Marina Village would deliver a high-quality strategic housing site. Our project will prepare the site to unlock its potential for development - as well as providing a haven for its special wildlife.
The Housing Renewal programme includes; refurbishment, redevelopment and improvements to public spaces and new homes in key areas of need in the town potentially including Barrow Island, Walney and Hindpool/Central.
We know that Barrow is a fantastic town filled with culture, leisure and sport but we want to get this message out to the rest of the world! The aim for our Tourism Enhancement project is to highlight Barrow's proud heritage, beautiful setting and fantastic events.
We want to thank everyone who submitted feedback, completed any of our surveys, shared and engaged with our social posts. This has been a fantastic example of how Brilliant the people of Barrow are and we are so grateful for your help!
