... of predators and misogyny and we have to recognise that we in the folk world need to be aware this is happening, to be willing to step up and protected vulnerable members of our community and be willing to jettison predators no matter how well known and respected they are 2/?
... because if we allow these predatory individuals to retain their status in our community knowing what they are then we are complicit in perpetuating their abuse. Bear in mind that one of the unnamed men in the post has engaged in paedophilic behaviour - do we really want 3/?
... someone like that in our community? My response is "hell no!" We also need to listen to the individuals who, no doubt after a lot of hurt, confusion & fear, have finally found the strength to speak out. it can take years for people to work through the mental crap so they 4/?
... can come forward - the passage of time between the abusive act and the victim coming forward is absolutely NO EXCUSE for people to brush things aside. We need to listen to and act on these revelations to make our community safe.

abuse them know this: you are dead to me and the folk community is on to you. You have NO PLACE in the folk world no matter how talented you are and your time polluting our spaces and harming others is coming to an end. 7/7
