Incredible as it seems, there were a few people who pretended they were allies to the #NoSafeSpaceForJewHate campaign. Then they hinted loudly that Jews had only done this because Wiley was a black man. That the campaign to stop racism was racist.

2) They ignored that fact that Jews have been fighting antisemitism online for years. And that this case was simply taken up by more people as he was a musician with a huge following who was spouting every antisemitic trope for 48 hours straight. No one stopped it.
3) Even people who believe some of what he said (antisemitism is so pervasive in our society) could see it was wrong. What made the fight different to many others is that this fight wasn’t about politics - and that’s why people across the political spectrum supported it.
4) What about all the other racists, they cry? We haven’t been sitting on our hands ignoring them. @RachelRileyRR is to thank for Katie Hopkins losing her Twitter account. Today, thanks to the campaign, David Duke has gone.
5) And every day dozens and dozens of us are reporting, reporting, reporting racists - often with little result. But we keep doing it. There is a famous quote from Rabbi Hillel.
6) We speak out against people hurting us because no one else will. By speaking out we want this to be about all forms of hate speech on social media by all hateful people. Want to stop hate speech? Get involved. If not now, when?
