If you are an Indian Muslim who is queerphobic or casteist then know that you are absolute scum. These are the 2 communities who have rendered unconditional support to your fight They’ve stood shoulder to shoulder on the forefront and demanded justice for you.

Their leaders have stood by your side even when your own turned a blind eye. Their voice mixed with yours when you chanted azadi. They’ve also paid the same price for voicing dissent, their activists are in the same jail as yours.

You scream of wanting a democratic nation which ensures full freedom of speech and expression while conveniently invalidating queer identities. You use derogatory slurs and justify them just because their identity doesn’t fit your idea of “natural

When you choose to be a bigot and discriminate against the Queer and Dalit comm you are no different from your enemy. You are invalidating their struggles, making them feel like 2nd class citizens just because their experiences and struggles do not fit into your idea of struggles

You will shout for equality of resources and demand better representation (rightfully so) but at the same time disregard the need for reservation. We suffer at the hands of the same fascists , we are all under threat because of our identities.

You understand better than anyone else what it’s like to be reduced to your immediate identity then what’s stopping you from empathising with them? The discrimination that the trans community faces is unparalleled . These are communities who have it worse than you.

The only way we will win is by unity. I want to see Muslims in pride parades, I want them to lobby for reservations, I want them to protest against the transgender persons act of 2019. I want them to fight for a democracy which is equal to ALL.
