Hakim Ziyech is a well established footballer that every fan has probably laid eyes on, most notably in Ajax’ superb UCL run in 2018/19, defeating the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Ziyech has been hot property since then, with Chelsea winning the race.
Last season stats: 📝

Appearances: 35
Goals: 8
Assists: 21

Ziyech had a another impressive season last year, and notably recorded 7 assists in just 4 games at one stage.

He most prominently played as a RW (20 times) but also CAM (13 times).

He recorded 12 assists in CAM.
He tends to get more goals from the wing, but more assists in CAM, nearly producing 1 assist p/90mins.

It is not known yet as to where he will fit in at Chelsea, but I suspect him to be apart of the midfield trio.

Season Heatmap 🔥
As we can see from the heatmap above, he prominently works his trade in the wide areas, despite being named as a CAM 13 times.

This tells you he is prone to drifting wide, as he is an exceptional passer and dribbler of the ball, as well as not being afraid to shoot from range.
Chelsea are likely to be familiar with his free kick abilities too, as he scored one at Stamford Bridge last season in the UCL.

This face off is also thought to have been Ziyechs direct audition for Chelsea. https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1191817754975838208
Unfortunately he was not actually credited with the goal (which i think is rather unfair) but he did get awarded with an assist for it.

He therefore produced 3 assists in the 4-4 thriller at Stamford Bridge.
It is clear Ziyech is an absolute magician on the ball, and he produced his best ever season from a creative standpoint last season.

However, in 18/19, Ziyech scored a massive 21 goals and assisted a further 24 in all comps.

He prominently played as a RW this season.
One year prior again, in 17/18 he recorded 9 goals and 18 assists.

This year he played mostly as a CAM, showing that wherever he plays on the pitch, he will be involved in the goals.
In the last 2 seasons in the league, Ziyech has created a massive FIFTY (50) big chances.

In comparison, Kevin De Bruyne only produced a *measly* 44.

This just entices the fascination with Chelsea assets next season, with Pulisic, Werner and Giroud etc all benefiting.
Ziyech also takes most free kicks and corners for Ajax. If he can take these duties from the likes of Mount and Willian, who looks to be on his way out.

With set pieces, he will likely be a popular source of #FPL points.
Conclusion 🏁

I think Ziyech will come in around as a £8.5-£9m MID, which could be an absolute bargain looking at his returns over the last few seasons.

He is certainly one I will have my eye on. If this man is guaranteed minutes under Lampard, he could prove to be a 💎.
