We are a sad, seratomim-based species that destroys altruism at a young age. A particularly unhappy species on the planet. We yearn for more but there really isn’t more. The simple things are the good things. We tried to escape that but we can’t because seeking more is futile.
This is a theory of course.
We may have taken over the world, but we are also systematically destroying it because of greed. Would a bird exploit its ability to control the world for its advantage? Of course! That’s how survival works.
But we have decided our superiority is best and screw the air and the water and the land

Instead of embracing our nature of community/tribal structures/local politics, we have devalued altruism, demolished reason, ignored those smarter than us, and we sit on the precipice of good and morals.
We create aggressive city architecture to deter homeless instead of spending the same money on actually helpful programs
Our leaders decide things that may not be in our best interest, but theirs
We villiaianize our out groups instead of using our intellect to do the opposite

I’m IRL DND “true neutral”. I don’t believe in extremist groups or beliefs. But are we truly better than the animals, than the bugs, than the flowers? Our “human” arrogance has caused so much damage. When do we begin to learn from mistakes like ants do almost immediately?
If we ae better than ants, if we can enjoy life like dolphins do; if we can move on when resources are scarce so they can grow back... that would be amazing. But we don’t.
We take everything to the brink of disaster. The edge of reason. We believe things based on feeling not experience or proof. We are not better than the animals. We are worse. We have as the top predator stopped caring about sustainability. About our fellow human tribe.
It’s time we take a hard look at the animal world and ask ourselves if we are better off not foraging off the ample abundance of the Planet. If fast food, minimum wage, and work weeks are good for our species.
Robotics and AI will probably destroy us because we are terrible. Let’s do better. Let’s be more. Let’s learn and share and help others. Because selfishness has not got us to a good place.
I’m not a communist or a socialist. True neutral, right? But I want us to do better. If we claim to be the superior species, we need to act more like the inferior species not ignore what makes them successful.
Community (sometimes rag tag), care, altruism, knowledge sharing, taking care of one another. It’s so simple but when we let the gov control these things, it’s no longer simple. It’s political. Political motives. Monetary gains.
I’m not a socialist, Marxist, or communist. Im just an Athiest who thinks that if every religious person actually followed the actual teachings of said religion, we would not hate, we would accept. Iwe would give. We would move forward. We would have a better society.
I hope WhaleNet or the Dolphins are listening (they probably DGAF tho) and so much wish they would adopt me as one of their own. I’d even accept Manatees as they are sloths of the sea.
