Has there ever been a more self entitled and deluded fanbase in the history of sport let alone football than Newcastle? The tweets I’ve read in the last 12 hours are beyond words; refer to the Keegan years as their glory days when they won nowt, claim to be heartbroken, (1)
Claim to be suffering from mental health, claim that the top 6 caused the PL to reject the takeover, actual MP’s are getting letters& emails of complaint, referring to a football club who have won more league titles than them as “a little seaside club”, talking of a boycott (2)
Saying that the fans deserve it after all they’ve been put through etc. Perspective time lads and lasses; you’re a mid table premier league club, fan base does not make you bigger or better than anyone else, club size is gauged on success and you have won nothing in 51 years (3)
You have a billionaire owner who has stabilised the finances of your club yet you hate him. You still go on about Rafa, a manager who relegated you & got you back up with the biggest budget in history, you twist on about Bruce who has arguably done a better job. I could go on.(4)
Suck it up and get on with it. From everything I’ve read, the consortium pulled the plug as opposed to the fact that you’re all saying it was rejected. Finally, you were all happy to have the richest owners in the world without any regard for where the money came from (5)
You as a fanbase have absolutely zero morals or ethics &for that alone you deserved this takeover to collapse.I firmly believe another rich owner will buy your beloved club but probably not to the level of delusion that caused you all to think you could make a FIFA style squad(6)
You will no doubt go on to improve, sign better players and finish in a higher league position but honest to God, you literally do not deserve any of these things. Show a little bit of gratitude to your owner whilst other clubs (Wigan and Bury) truly suffer (7)
