Also Alberta. Confabbed with a number if mums today on this, most trying to figure out how they will possibly be able to keep their jobs or run their companies. Any cold, influenza, COVID symptoms, kid is sent home to isolate for at least 10 days. Any outbreaks, school shuts. Sick teachers may or may not be able to be replaced by a substitute. And what happens when, not if, someone at the school dies.
We don’t even know bell time, if drop off or start times or end times will be staggered, what about busses, what about after school program, what about supplies, class size, ohort details. I could go one. And it seems we have to pick our preferred option without knowing anything

For me, there has not been a peep from @UCalgary or @policy_school about how it will support parents through all this unknown and uncertainty. I imagine this is true for many parents. Will employers be flexible and compassionate, or will they go the opposite route? Inquiring mind
And boy does this really show a HUGE policy gap at @policy_school. No labour economists. No K-12 education expertise.
