I'm back in Portland tonight to see how the federal withdrawal pact unfolds.

Sheriff's deputies and Portland police are both out. State police expected. No sign of feds so far.

Local cops taped off two parks. I am sure you will be shocked to learn it did not keep people away.
There are several hundred people out listening to speeches at the county justice center right now. So far little to no attention on the federal courthouse. No law enforcement visible anywhere at this point.
A crowd has moved over to the street in front of the federal courthouse. Somebody started using their skateboard to smack the fence surrounding the courthouse, but others intervened to stop them.

No sign of federal, state or local officers right now.
The crowd is now chanting "peaceful protest."
Someone was trying to get a trash fire started on the inside of the courthouse fence. Others came over to pour water on it.
Not a lot of Donald Trump fans in the crowd.
The crowd is getting smaller but still persisting after many hours. I'm heading out.

To summarize tonight: No sign of the feds or state police. Protests remained peaceful. Worst thing I saw was someone throwing a few glass bottles over the fence and onto the empty sidewalk.
