Dr Erkut Sogut (Mesut Özil’s agent): “I do not think there will be a change in the case of Mesut Özil until the summer of 2021. He has a contract. There is no change. He will remain in Arsenal.”
Dr Sogut (Mesut Özil’s agent): “90 percent, [Özil] will leave Arsenal in 2021. Mesut to Asia, America or Turkey? Yes, maybe.”
Granit Xhaka on if Arsenal are no longer a top club: "What kind of question is that? Arsenal is & remains a legendary club. For many young players, but also for me, it is a dream, indeed an honour, to be allowed to appear"
Xhaka: "I see the club, not least with Mikel Arteta, well positioned for the future & I am sure that the Gunners will attack European football again soon"
Xhaka on Arteta: "He convinced me to stay with Arsenal. We had a very good conversation shortly after his appointment, & I can really only say positive things about him. He is a young, very meticulous trainer. He is really a great guy as a coach, but also as a person"
Xhaka: "I have already learned a lot from him [Arteta] during the time he is with us. Many details that have made me even better. So it's really a pleasure to be able to play as a coach under him"
Emi Martinez: "It was a bit emotional [when the final whistle went in the semi-final]. Not because we beat City, who for me are one of the best teams in Europe right now, but more because of how much I have been fighting to play in a final with the club I love."
Emi Martinez: "We came from a poor, poor family. I remember the day that me and my brother ate and not my mum and dad. I was living in Buenos Aires and I would only see them twice a month, when I travelled, because they couldn't afford petrol to go & see me."
Martinez on his future: "My agent called me the other day & said ‘what do you think about next season?’ But I dont want to talk about that. I have a cup final to play & need to go into the game with a clear mind. Let me win the trophy & after that you can ask me about my future"
Martinez: "Nobody wants to be a second goalkeeper, especially if you believe in yourself as much as I do. I had offers to leave last summer but I always put Arsenal first & I wasn’t going to go out on loan any more"
Cesc Fabregas on the FA Cup final: "My heart belongs to both clubs. I know it sounds politically correct but it is what I feel. When I was with Arsenal, I never believed I could feel what I did towards Chelsea. But this is the beauty of football & this is what happened with me"
Cesc Fabregas: "If I have to predict a winner, it will be Chelsea because of their experience & players. But Arsenal could be the underdog and have a chance"
Christian Pulisic on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: "He is incredible, the way he gets in good areas. He's always dangerous, so we are definitely going to have to be cautious of that, & they have some other good players. But he is definitely one guy that you have to look out for"
