I never had the luxury to go get a Degree
So I had to learn how to code & make myself marketable to employers!

I had to learn to code

I get asked all the time where to start or where they can learn to code, so here are some of the resources I used to learn!

#100DaysOfCode
I started on http://freecodecamp.org  and I will always recommend them! Started learning HTML and continued to follow the path.

When I got to Javascript, I picked up additional resources. Followed a TON of @traversymedia videos, udemy courses etc.
to learn SQL i literally use w3schools
https://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp

Was great to pick up all of the basics!

I hope this helps the ones that keep asking me exactly what I did.

NOW JUST BECAUSE THIS WORKED FOR ME, doesn't mean this is what you have to do!
Find what works for you!
To be marketable. Had to make a STRONG linkedin profile and use it to network.

Display your accomplishments!
Brag about yourself!
This is the place to do it!

Use it as a way to make sure that they know YOU mean business!

I have a whole series on that. http://youtube.com/DThompsonDev
