I started on http://freecodecamp.org and I will always recommend them! Started learning HTML and continued to follow the path.
When I got to Javascript, I picked up additional resources. Followed a TON of @traversymedia videos, udemy courses etc.

Then I went to Python.
It was the first language where I started with the docs.
Then I used sites like http://codecademy.com , http://learnpython.org etc
Dropped Python and learned Java.
Used Tim Bulchakas Java MasterClass and https://java-programming.mooc.fi/
HIGHLY recommend MOOC!

to learn SQL i literally use w3schools

To be marketable. Had to make a STRONG linkedin profile and use it to network.
Display your accomplishments!
Brag about yourself!
