I think everyone should work at a sub 20 person company once in their life
1) you get to actually see the impact of your work - I think a lot of people feel unfilled from their job because they're relatively detached from the end product a company puts out

2) you get to understand if you truly know how to "figure things out" when there's no play book. A lot of people believe they love unstructured environments until they're actually put in a real one
3) Politics is (relatively) impossible. Some people's entire skill is internal company navigation, which is fine but large companies reward that more than producing things.
