Didier Drogba, joined Chelsea from Marseille for only £24 million fee, which was a lot at the time for a Ligue One striker, who was also 26 at the time.

Drogba was a revolutionary striker for Chelsea, his first season under Mourinho, they won the PL title as he scored 10 goals, which is impressive for his first season. Despite the lack of goals, he was the core leading striker for CFC that season, made everyone around him better.

Drogba got better the next season as his G/A was 26 in 29 games which led to another Premier League title. The first time in Chelsea FC history to win back to back league titles. This also lead to him winning his first African footballer of the year.

Drogba also has 2x PL golden boot for the PL 06/07 season and the 09/10 season, which was most by a African player (at the time) as that record was held for 9 years. Drogba scored 29 goals which led to another Premier League. He also won 2012 ACON top scorer in that competition.

Drogba also led Chelsea’s first ever Champions League title against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, where he scored a 90th min header as well as scoring the last penalty to win the Champions League for the first time in Chelsea FC history. Drogba was revolutionary.

Drogba record in Cup final’s was impeccable as he was the definition of a big game player. His record was 10 goals in 10 finals winning 10 trophies at a club level. Some players like Henry couldn’t do this who played 9 finals and scored 0. His won 4x FA Cups and 3x English Cups.

Drogba became a 4x PL winner. Drogba is disrespected due to his lack of PL goals which is 102. Fans forget that his the reason why CFC have a CL trophy,is a 2x golden boot winner. Drogba revolutionised CFC, paved the way for the next generation of strikers for Chelsea and the PL.
