Dr. Julia N. Visor '71, D.A. '87: A Professor of African-American literature, Dr. Visor also served as the director of the eponymous Visor Center. Her ability to build relationships with and mentor students was unrivaled.

Dr. Charles Martin '58, M.S. '62: Martin not only served as a Peace Corps Director in Liberia, after serving 21 years as a biology professor at UC Berkeley, Howard, and Northwestern, he returned from retirement to teach high school in California.

These are of course just my opinions, recognizing fully that I share more in common with the men after whom Watterson's houses were named than the people on this list. I hope the university naming committee welcomes the thoughts of the students that gave this movement life!
