Well this was my first season playing #fpl properly all the way through, had a couple seasons b4 but nothing serious. My main goal was to break top 100k which quickly turned into top 10k. I think I had a good season but filled with ‘rookie’ errors.
Main example being, taking stupid -8’s that If sat on throughly are illogical and never going to pay me back. I took more than your average users worth of hits too. Some payed dividens others saw large red arrows, but I guess that’s part of it all right

Continuing with hits I will try to do what everybody says at the start of all new seasons: ‘I’m going to try and limit my hits this year’. Most people in the top 100 take 4-8 hits a year where as I took 15. That’s a lot of hits! Aiming for 8 next season or below.
Moving on to captaincy. Now imo this is where I lost out on the top 10k. My captaincy this season has been dreadful. Of the 38 GW’s I have captained the highest scoring player in my team only 8 times. Out of 38 I have only captained 6 double duvet hauls. A very common occourance
Would be me captaining KDB for example and he scores 6-8 points whilst having sterling scoring 15+ points. I also stuck with sterling the beginning of the season through all the blanks which didn’t help ( big FOMO). Captaincy is a massive decider in rank and getting it wrong this
Year has more than likely cost me. Things like owning raz for the entirety of fpl since restart but not giving him the armband till 38 definses my season best! Onto some positives for the season. Getting in bandwagons early helped my rank a lot and owing sterling from 30+
Is a deciding factor in why I ended so strongly. Jumping on ings very early saw some nice green arrows only for me to take him out after 4GW’s ( probably my worst decision this year) . He punished my like crazy. Onto possibly my best decision of my season now, Bruno Fernandes.
Now as a city fan this is bitter sweet but god did he help my rank. I bought him in from his GW1 and never looked back, yet never captained him! His haul against Watford at home whilst owning auba that GW too have me my biggest green arrow of the season (in perspective).
Turning point for me this season was holing my rank at 30k in GW36. The faith in rashford really paid off with everyone else scoring 6 or <. That gave me my last kick to securing my final overall rank of 17k. I’m relatively happy with that but knowing with 1 or 2 more better
Captaincy decisions or TCing Salah over Mane in 24 would’ve seen me get inside that top 10k. It’s been a crazy ride and I’ve learned a lot over the course of the year to a point where I feel I can give advice and try to help others now! The goal for next season is to beat my last
