So, @MargotZarinPass has been encouraging me to tweet more. And I think I'm ready...I've been hesitant for a few reasons, but finally got won over. My first ever tweet thread to share my thoughts...
/10 First of all, I had to do this, which made me feel dorky, but I pushed through it...
/10 and then I remembered how much I love gifs and Bitmojis, and Twitter seems to have a lot offer in that department
/10 and, @rheault_m is such a boss and I thought she'll probably help me in the twitterverse. And those kidney jokes...never enough!
/10 @jamesgray0 and @meghanfanta are doing actual educational tweets #Meded #MedTwitter so I'll probably learn something, and they usually kindly laugh at my jokes
/10 Plus, my program director best friend is tweeting, so gotta keep up! @amy_stier_md miss you!
/10 @DocDorothy Wednesdays aren't the same without you, but maybe we can be in the #twitterverse together?
/10 re: #MedBikini thread: I am an intelligent, well-spoken and reasonable female #Meded leader who cares deeply about advocating for children and their families, and I am đź’Ż capable of determining for myself what is professional to put on social media.
/10 also I'm definitely also here for the cat gif/pics potential. Probably I'll mix in a healthy dose of #CatsOfTwitter #kittens
/10 and so, so many other amazing colleagues @ChomiloMD @DrDanSchumacher @abhaydandekar @KazJNelson @drkatielingras @DrMarenMD @andrewolsonmd @mundumuragu to connect with...the list keeps growing
/10 but what really tipped me over was seeing that a #Medstudent made @FuturePedsRes to help pediatric applicants connect with programs. Learning alongside the next generation of pediatricians is the BEST part of my job!
