Here’s Ontario’s school-reopening plan

The government unveiled its back-to-school plan on Thursday. Read what it has to say about part-time vs. full-time, masks, and COVID-19 screening.

$309 million in new spending, improved health monitoring in collaboration between ministries of health & ed with local boards and public health.

Masks recommended for JK-3; mandatory above that
Biggest eyebrow-raiser: no major efforts to shrink elementary class sizes; govt says school boards expected to stick to regulated class sizes.
Current regs allow class sizes as large as 32 in kindergarten, for reference. https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/120132
