Once again, I love seeing all your photos of what can be carried on a cycle, but I can't help thinking that the correct response to the "cycle fascists" guy is not "actually you *can* carry a boiler on a bike", but "nobody is stopping you driving, you look absolutely unhinged."
Usually it's easy for the conservative tendancies to play the character of "reasonable person" and say "ok, let's slow down here, be *reasonable* about this proposed change", so maybe make some hay out of people so very visibly unreasonable and alienatingly uncalm?
Photos of boilers on bikes are great, but to anyone outside the argument I imagine they probably say "woah, these people really are saying that everyone should cycle for every journey, that's mad".
You have the perfect opening right here to highlight who's being unreasonable, and just how unreasonable. Imagine publishing a rabid screed on your business website shouting "fascists" at the builders of a cycle lane.
