Prominent journalists are being abducted, arrested, and worse. "Journalism" has been criminalised. Hopewell Chin'ono and Mduduzi Mathuthu are just two of the people that have been targeted. The protests on 31 July are also about the widespread corruption, economic mismanagement, and high poverty levels that have occurred under ZANU-PF and Emmerson Mnangagwa.
