Insulin Resistance is a big topic today

Thought I would post things I've learned:

•Lowering the amount of insulin secretion by eating low carb does not necessarily impact insulin resistance, which is how your cells respond to insulin. If you stop putting gas in your car...
the broken water pump isn’t a problem, but it isn’t magically fixed either

•Free Fatty Acids (FFA) in your blood is a very reliable way to increase insulin resistance. High Fat does not mean insulin sensitive

This is a common trap for high fat diet adherents
The high fat diet actually reinforces a fear of carbs

At some point, they try and add carbs back into their diet

only to find their blood sugar skyrocketing more than

before they cut carbs out in the first place!
high fat diets reinforce carbs as evil as their body gets worse at handling carbs
•Insulin Resistance is probably from long term poor gut health/microbiome imbalance/endotoxin/leaky gut

Body builders, who eat tons of carbs and are arguably some of the most insulin sensitive people, get diabetes and insulin resistance from poor gut health
For a good explanation of this,

Check out this video:

Just like the low carb debate...insulin and GH are blamed
•Keto/Carnivore may be a good way to influence gut health and gut lining integrity, and hence improve insulin resistance THAT way

Overeating and eating junk is never good, and will increase endotoxin and gut irritation

but carbs are not the enemy!
