So my kid is not going to be living on campus for his freshman fall. His school just pulled the plug. I expected this but it is still hard. I haven’t told him yet. A lot of people have lost a lot more, but this loss is tough and personal for our family. Just taking a moment.

I sure hope this cohort of kids takes their anger and disappointment and gets activated to create a more functional society. I believe they can. I will do every fucking thing in my power to support that.

Breaking the news to him was not fun. I’m seething with anger at every incompetent, dishonest, greedy, short-sighted, racist politician who has enabled this president in completely running this country and every one of its institutions onto the rocks. Fuck all of them.
