GP Suburbs aren't racist, we're classist. While race may correlate with class, so too does piss-poor decision making, bad behavior, and toxic culture.

GP There are plenty of racial minorities in the 'burbs and they'd say the same thing. It's not a race thing, it's a class thing.
Does that make it good or desirable? No. But it does make it not racist.

GP I believe most 'burbs would have far less of a problem with increased density requirements than with mandated "you have to import an assload of people with standards and behavior diametrically opposed to success, orderly schools, and public safety."
GP And yes, poverty doesn't cause crime. And yes, poor people aren't necessarily bad people just as middle class people aren't necessarily good people.

GP Government can try to force low income housing into wealthy 'burbs.
What government will end up with is a newly poor 'burb because people with money will instantly move once the low income housing is forced on them.
