George Zimmerman is a scumbag and has proven to be such many times over. That being said I don't think what he did was murder, and these tweets were made during the trial and addressed very specific claims that I found to be either irrelevant or wrong or biased. 2/6

I followed that trial closely and commented on it throughout. Are my tweets abrasive? Sure. I've spoken a bunch about how I toned down over the years because both me and the internet itself have changed since 2013. I'm a profoundly better person now in many ways. 3/6

As for the tweets themselves: Al-Qaeda actually did put out a message of support but the tweet is actually a knock at the justice system. The height tweet pertains to him being a physical match for an adult. The other ones refer to evidence presented during in the trial. 4/6

I've actually changed my opinion on that entire case somewhat over the years. Like I said, I certainly don't think it was murder, but I used to feel strongly that GZ's preceding actions shouldn't factor into him being responsible for escalation and I don't anymore. 5/6

But yeah I watched practically every minute of that trial and much like the Casey Anthony case, sometimes a piece of shit can't be found guilty of the crime they are on trial for, and I was also very bothered at how the case was covered nationally. 6/6
