i find that the contrast of nishinoya and kita's 'terrains' interesting since theyre always regarded to/put alongside with gods and deities
kita is very grounded and let the build up of everyday work blossom on its own, while nishinoya was free, ungrounded, and has the power to make everything he set his mind to into a reality, almost instantaneously
let's start with nishinoya.
he was introduced as the guardian deity and had an air of mystery surrounding him because he hadn't actually appeared yet. but when he came out, his character had a serious case of gap moe haha
aloof, ungrounded, free-spirited, and has the power to make everything happen once he sets his mind into it. noya is the textbook definition of intense and this fight with asahi is solid proof of that intensity. which oftentimes makes him appear more of a god than he does human.
oftentimes noya appears to be more of a god (first 2 pics) than he does human. but when he does, it hits you hard (last 2 pics)
and then we go to kita.
kita, in contrast to noya, there are more times that kita appears to be a mortal than he does a god. kita is the antithesis of noya. he is grounded, stubborn and immovable (sry hirugami lol)

kita, just like the rest of us, has to work for the things he wants but the difference is he doesn't always expect for his hard work to pay off. all that matters to him is that he did everything correctly. never cutting corners, and from that alone he learns and he grows.
but thats what makes him reliable. he's annoyingly consistent, he never gets nervous, if he can do it on a normal day where no one is watching, he can do it when it counts with everyone's eyes on him
but aside from differences, here are some of their similarities
they both dont consider themselves as monsters which i think is bs haha kita doesnt understand why people are freaked out by him when he's just doing "normal" things and noya always thinks someone is better than him

there are things that /only/ they can do and if it fails, no one else can save the team. kita with grounding the team, and noya with the receives.
and lastly which is why i had the idea for this analysis anyways, was post timeskip kitanoya.
noya traveling the world, free spirited as ever, and kita as a rice farmer, grounded and sticking to the same, infallible routine that would reap harvest after time passes

i think timeskip kitanoya were the 2 characters that shook me to my mf core when they reappeared but when j thought about it, it was the most blatantly obvious and most sensical turnout for these two characters
i dunno. i hope i got my thoughts across with this thread haha and if ure still reading thank u sm i hope it made sense and
