This is why counting the number of newsrooms in a place doesn't work to calculate the health of the news ecosystem in a city. A better gauge would be evaluating how easily residents feel they can access accurate information to hello them make informed decisions.
Local newsrooms who take the time to ask their communities what information they need to "be healthy" and then build from there are the future (and fortunately the present for some).
