I have a personal rule to mostly not comment on Trump tweets. He uses it like a troll, trying to get folks worked up without any action behind his words. Today’s tweet, coming off these shocking economy numbers, show how desperate he is to change the subject.
Things are very bad. Trump’s tweet indicated just how bad. We need a Commander-in-Chief. Not a troll or a petulant child. Even his supporters are tired of these games.
I’m not scared of him actually following through. He can’t. I have more faith in our constitution and systems than that. What I am scared of is a President who wants to ignite another match for fun in the middle of several, simultaneously burning forest fires.
This isn’t a fucking game. Lives and livelihoods are being lost every day. Would sure be nice to have a POTUS who understood the seriousness of the situation we’re faced with.
It’s funny because people are freaked out he’s trying to seize power but I think it’s more likely he’s actively trying to lose at this point.
