“Pfffft. He can’t do that.”

Really wish people would stop saying this as though it means anything.
You guys get that the administration basically got the SCOTUS ruling on DACA and said, “Nah, we’re not gonna do that,” right?
What makes anyone think that they’re at all interested in what they’re “allowed” to do.
Remember when he took office and was like “Ivanka and Jared are going to work in the WH” and there were stories correctly pointing out that violated nepotism laws? And now, 3.5 yrs later, Kushner is in charge of 90 different projects and Ivanka is called a “badass” by CNN hosts?
Or when he claimed that he’d be completely separated from his businesses... but then when a story came out about how he was having the US ambassador to the UK lobby to have the British Open played at Trump’s course, that was a 1 day story?
No matter what he does, the press finds a way to treat that as (relatively) normal. The press, completely abdicating any sense of duty to democracy, has enabled the unencumbered rise of fascism in the name of ratings and “balance.”
