Here's a thread about how to do it on Twitter:
As soon as I got on Twitter I set up my profile with a link to an opt-in page to build my list.

Now, I make solid landing pages. I do it for a living. I'm happy paying for ads,

but for reasons I'll explain another day I wanted to crack organic Twitter.
A few months went by, I crossed the magic 1,000 mark, a few thousand visits came and went via my profile but I was getting almost no traffic to my landing page.

I was seriously deflated.

I wondered if I was wasting my time.
In fact, if it hadn't been for a chance conversation with a developer, where I got to see some REAL Gumroad cheques being written, I'd probably have given up.

I could see the riches were out there, I just had to crack how to find them
So, I did what I always do.

I looked at the competition, and I tested.

I became obsessed with it.
It took me a couple of months, but eventually the penny dropped.

I saw a major flaw across the whole of Twitter that sets you up for failure.

You can see it in this early screenshot of Twitter.

It set the tone for the whole platform, and it's still there today.
See that prompt: "What are you doing?"

What does that set you up to do?

It sets you up to talk about yourself.

Now edit your profile.

Again, it's all about you.

Your Bio - literally, tell us your life story - (who does that?)
Your location, your website

It's all about you.
The problem is, your reader doesn't give a damn about you, yet.

When they realise you can help them, then they'll care.

At that point they'll hire a bodyguard to make sure nothing happens to you.

But not yet...
Instead you need to talk about your customer's problem.

Tell them how you can help.

And you need to do it quickly.

You need to make every last character in your profile count, focussing on the one thing that matters.

Getting them to your opt-in page.

But how?
Your bio is shorter than a tweet.

Well, I spent 3 months testing different variations of my profile and now over half of my new followers now end up on my email list.

That's before I even start promoting my email list in regular tweets.
The tipping point came in a simple three line formula that sets you up as the guide they want to follow,

It presents just one way forward:

Onto your email list.
To share the formula, with examples of it in action, I wrote up my discoveries in a short guide called "Polish your Profile".

It's a concise roundup of the changes you need to make to your bio to turn it into the gateway to your email list.
As a reward for reading this far and showing you really want to blow up your email list from Twitter, this link will discount the price down to just $1.

It's literally the least I can ask, while only showing the formula to people who really want to build a profitable email list
I'm adding to the guide with sections about header images and pinned tweets, at which point I'll pull this discount, but if you get in now, you'll get all the updates for free.

The discount is only available at this link:

Oh, and one last thing...
If you read the guide,

if you implement the changes,

if you retweet the TOP Tweet of this thread and mention me ( @stephenpratley) in the comment so I see it

I'll do you a quick critique as a reply.

I won't be doing this for free forever https://bit.ly/310HIEl
