Misogyny in politics, a short thread: If you are like me and pay too close attention to politics (
) you may know that we are apparently very close to finding out Joe Bidenâs VP pick. There is speculation that it could be Kamala Harris.

Apparently some people around Biden are holding a grudge against her for not apologizing for going after him in that first debate (
) and are claiming that she is âtoo ambitiousâ or âjust wants to be President.â Typically you donât hear those charges about men in politics.

Why? Ingrained misogyny! When a man wants to improve his status or career it is ambitious and impressive but when a woman does it, well, she is self serving and untrustworthy!
Also, itâs especially rich that people around Biden are making this argument since *Joe Biden* was a Vice President.... who now wants to be President.
âIâm looking to hire an assistant manager but... you know I just canât help but think that one day youâll want to be the manager and I just canât have that, sorry!â

In conclusion, judge people by their actual politics, stances, and merits and not by whether they can pass a made up misogyny test.
P.S. I know there is a decent amount of Kamala hype for VP from people, but my guess is Biden will pick Susan Rice. I have no basis for this guess but look forward to being right and will return to this tweet when the decision is made to spike the football or look foolish.
