I've decided I'm going to work as hard on myself as I do on my work because I deserve it.

Everyone suffers with mental health, here are some things I've discovered that help me might be of use to someone ❀️

I find journalling very helpful to untangle my thoughts. Keeping a diary can help me figure out what's worrying me.
πŸ‘ Walking, I can't run, but even a 20 minute walk in the fresh air can improve my mood and make me calmer.
πŸ‘ Taking my medication at the same time everyday.

πŸ‘ Alcohol may give you temporary relief from stress but alcohol is a depressant and the hangover is not worth it.
πŸ‘ Caffeine increases your heart rate and is awful for someone who already suffers with aniexty, I'm done with coffee and now drinking herbal tea.
πŸ‘ Ranting/laughing with a friend can be a huge relief when I get very stressed or upset.
πŸ‘ If it won't matter in 5 years don't spent more than 5 minutes thinking about it.
πŸ‘ I really struggle with my body image, and often wear baggy clothes to hide my body, I find laying out an outfit the night before makes it easier
πŸ‘ Showering is very comforting to me
πŸ‘ Lavender is just some kind of magic thing that when I smell it I feel better.
πŸ‘ I'm trying to drink more water.
πŸ‘ Self harm is self hatred, when the urge comes to self harm self love instead
πŸ‘ Hanging out with Ellie, or making time to spend with animals in general helps me
πŸ‘ I've discovered when I get angry I'm actually hurt or sad
πŸ‘ Deep breaths before I react help me
πŸ‘ Scented candles are so soothing
πŸ‘ Clean working space = clean mind
It's a tough oul road good days and bad but there are always ways you can help yourself. I find keeping a list of things that help so I can refer to it when I get bad helps.
