Removing hadiths makes Islam much sane-er and more tolerable.. sure there are problematic verses like At Taubah but with historical-sirah context it is better understood.... so many weird things in hadiths tbh. Weirder and disturbing.
I still dont think the religion is the truth (for me) but Quran centric folks and Quran only folks seems much more friendlier, open and welcome hermeneutical approach and Reformations.
Im willing to accept their narration of truth than the mainstream but it is hard to go against the mainstream natrative in real world practices since the mainstream muslim put heavy emphasis in accepting hadith and literal interpretations of islam without questioning.
I have to remember Islam and muslim exist beyond the sunni islamic caliphate; shia, mutazili, Ibadi, Ahmedi, Sufi, Druze, and many more existed and contributed to the pan-Islamic history and narratives.
If my more progressive and liberal inclined muslim friends able to reconcile some form of hadith (and it’s existences) with their more inclusive version of Islam.. do let me know what’s on your mind..
