For someone with 200k followers and had never been through a single negative rebase cycle for $AMPL, this is really an irresponsible tweet.

In life, there are two things cannot be measured by math:

1) Greed
2) Fear

We have seen what greed brought us, now let's see fear. https://twitter.com/TheCryptoDog/status/1288715906835783680
1/ While I'm not the best expert on $AMPL, I can tell you my personal experience as a survivor of the negative rebase death spiral

Like many people here, I've experienced positive rebase since first day after Bitfinex's listing. Though the % was not as high now, it was exciting.
2/ No, I did not sell when it hit $2, or when it retraced to $1.50. I even bought 'the dip' when it was at $1.5, thinking that other people will buy the dip to sustain the positive rebase.

Then, I stored these 3736 $AMPL in my ledger (yeah i deposited 4736, but took out 1000).
3/ The following chart documents my journey with those $AMPL in my ledger

The first glimpse of hope came 110 days later when Kucoin decided to list it on 11th Nov 2019. Still, price didn't budge. and negative rebase continues

Thereafter, it hovers up & down $1 like a stablecoin
4/ On 25th June, I noticed that the world is on DeFi Hype, and the launch of Geyser coupled with Uniswap liquidity was an extremely bullish catalyst for $AMPL.

That's also when I started sharing with my discord fam and tweeting about it.

By then, my 3736 AMPL turned into 984.
5/ Based on my calculation, if I did not leave it in the geyser, this stack would have become 2335 $AMPL on 7th July.

Which means that I finally broke even after 349 days. Honestly, if DeFi didnt become a hype, I'd probably take more than 349 days to breakeven.
6/ Sure, it can be argued that circumstances have changed alot.

I agree.

1) Nobody knew about $AMPL in 2019, except those who participated in Bitfinex IEO.
2) There was no liquidity back then.
3) There was no community back then.
4) We were still in a bear market.
7/ However, we should also take certain considerations in today's circumstances.

1) Retails got ridiculously rich by holding this for 25 days. Like fucking rich.
2) Presale/Investors's bags are worth multi-millions now.
8/ Two things still remained the same, which was what I mentioned at the beginning.

1) There are people who are still greedy for positive rebase (like me back then).
2) There are people who are fearful of negative rebase.
9/ It is honestly interesting to see how things will change vis-a-vis last year. The question now now is:

Will we see more whales scooping up these <$1 price?

Or

Will we see more whales dumping their bags as it approaches $1 to get out before its too late?
10/ History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme

No, I am not a fudder, but neither am I a deluded moonboy. I want $AMPL to succeed, but I also want people to be safe

Thank you for listening to my TED Talk. Whatever it is, don't invest more than what you can lose

God bless
