Let me make it clear. I am still very much in favor of denationalizing temples in our country. The only change in view that I have had is about the when and the how.

My personal experience has also led me to reconsider the facts in the case of various other temples of note.

It comes down to this. You and many in P4D believe that this is battle is a legal one that can be won through the courts. Hence, you do not need to game the resulting caste wars (which is inevitable whether you like it or not) for that will not be considered by the courts.

I (and many others) differ. I believe that it is the political powers that be who will take a final call on this, or 'guide' the courts and 'allow' it to take a call as per the guidance.

Hence, I believe we need to game out the resulting caste wars & propose possible safeguards.

Let me make it clear. I continue to be in favor of denationalizing temples and against govt. control. My concern is something else -
'How' - How to prevent caste wars once you take it out of govt control?
and
'When' - Do it now or after 'How' ?

Let us forget about my temple for the time being. Let's use the example of Chammundeshwari.

How will you denationalize it ?
You think Vokkaligas and Kurubas of Mysuru district wont make a fuss if you hand it over to the royals and the priest.

Which set of priests ? The brahmana ones (my sampradaya only. I technically shouldn't mind) or the PT priests
(those who know KA would know what I am calling PT. Won't give fodder to anti H folk by explaining it)

If both, what proportion ? PT had been edged out a century ago

These are the issues that will emerge from denationalizing just one prominent temple in my state.

If you take it up with the powers that be, they will have the exact same Qs in their mind. It is for this reason that they will stall denationalizing them.
