Of course they’ve added jobs. Of course they’ve changed the way we live. And literally none of that has any bearing on a) if they’ve violated antitrust laws and b) the broader convo going on about Big Tech’s power over independent thought & free societies.
Not everything in life reduces to an economic lens, people. Conservatism sustains because it is NOT reductive; because it prioritizes liberty (from all centers of power - govt and corporate) as well as civil society, moral order, etc.
Conservatism, traditionally understood, should also compel a curiosity that asks - is there harm to innovation & small business & free thought? It should not provoke a reflexive defense of business merely because it is large.
