1) This story about how Joe Biden shouldn't pick Kamala Harris because she's too "ambitious" is sexist, racist, and asinine.

It's also probably not actually coming from Biden's inner circle.

I warned you about this kind of posturing nonsense yesterday.

2) Biden said he'll announce within a few days. That means he's already picked someone. If anyone in his inner circle wants him to change his mind, they'll do it directly and privately. Only someone a few degrees removed from Biden would need to do it publicly through the media.

3) None of this diminishes the awfulness of the remark. Whoever said it should apologize. If Biden can figure out who said it, he should remove that person from his orbit entirely. But this kind of public sniping wouldn't have come from someone who has Biden's ear to begin with.

4) It's a shame that some anonymous coward is even part of the conversation.

This is such a strong VP field, and everyone in contention has behaved with professionalism and class.

We're about to have our first woman VP, and perhaps our first VP of color. It's well past time.

5) Every single person who wants to be President or Vice President or Senator is "ambitious" by definition. If you're a white man and you're throwing that word at a woman or a person of color in a negative context, we all know what you're trying to do. Just stop it. /END
