I feel like no one acknowledges that Hayley was 19(!!!!!) when this record came out!!! This record is mad underrated in general but the song writing and performances on it sound nothing like any other ~20 y/os I’ve found

Ignorance slaps super hard and I’m pretty sure Hayley scream before the solo??? Very dope. The guitar verse harmonies on this song permanently shaped my choices as a musician

Brick by boring brick goes hard but the intro is nearly identical to Nice and Blue pt 2 from mewithoutYou but given hayley’s love for the band let’s consider it an homeage

K now im filling out the thread lol Turn It off always tricks me into thinking im not that into it from how fun the intro sounds but these choruses are unstoppable, the bridge is gigantic in a way few bands pull off, and the instrumenal jam at the end

The only exception gets a lot shit, from myself included, but I think if we could all pretend it was our first time hearing it again we could love it the way teenagers are supposed to :-) side B tomorrow
