Some years back, I noticed something that changed how I saw paying for self-development drastically.

A lot of the "gurus" I followed had something in common - they invested HEAVILY in their personal development. HEAVILY. ⁣
They also charged HEAVILY for their products and services. And they made money from whatever they sold. ⁣

I learnt from these people that THERE IS A STRONG CORRELATION between how much you invest in your personal development and how much you are able to charge others too.
After I learnt this, I had to start to invest in myself more. I would buy books and enrol for courses I needed even when it would take a toll on my bank account.

I needed to be comfortable with accepting that it was possible for people to PAY me for a knowledge or skill I have.
The first time I bought a book for 5k, it was hard. Ah ahn! Ordinary book. But after I bought that book, my mind became open to the possibility of being able to charge 5k or more for my own book too.
The first time I paid 30k for a class and I almost fainted, my mind became open to the possibilities of being able to charge that much for myself too. ⁣

If you sell a skill or a product and you find it hard to ask people to pay you, it could mean that you need to be more...
comfortable with paying more for stuff. ⁣

If you cannot pay more than 3k for a class, you will find it hard to charge 3k yourself.

If the lowest amount you have spent on personal development is 10k, any amount above that will be hard for you to come to terms with.
You will keep thinking people will not pay because you would not want to pay yourself. ⁣

So, beyond just paying for stuff that you need, see investing in yourself as an intentional measure of expanding your mind.
Because without that, you will find it hard to break out of that box or circle of being able to charge for your skill and knowledge. ⁣

I hope this made sense to you 🤗🤗🤗
