Senior living is prime ex. of where biz community trying to make profit off aging population can put #olderadults in harm's way w/o a user-centered design process. Real estate firms doing senior living development often have little knowledge of the living needs for older adults.

Too many new developments are aesthetically beautiful and luxurious, but have inaccessible showers, & extremely low seats and couches to fit the modern design. But these features make it much harder for older adults to age in place.

While aging population is growing & is prime market segment to move into from a business perspective, we have to be cautious about firms doing this without consideration of the somewhat vulnerable population with special needs that need to be incorporated in co-design processes
