New Education Policy: Thread on why learning Persian is important.
1. Large part of Indian history is recorded in Persian. It was the court (official) language of the Muslim rulers. It’s critical to read these documents in original rather than secondary sources or translation.

2. Genocide data is extensively and (gleefully) recorded by Islamic historians in Persian. But in the modern era, their English translations are being bowdlerised for the secular audience.

3. Sita Ram Goel writes that Maulanas today publish two versions of medieval records. Original gory version full of details of destruction of Hindu/Jain/Buddhist temples and mass murder and slavery of Hindus is for reading (and presumably private enjoyment) within seminaries.

4. The new English version is for promoting Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb. The idea is to paint a picture of Islamic invaders as intellectual rulers who introduced fruit, kebabs, biryani, architecture and Urdu poetry to India.

5. De facto historian @TIinExile can read Islamic records in original Persian, and that’s how he is able to blow away the old and new lies of Indian leftists and their western masters. Knowing the adversary is important. Knowing what he thinks is critical.
