Let me summarize the problem distinctly. Race is being used as an approximation for culture. Which is what classical racism was basically all about, too, as is this new form.
The skin you're born in doesn't decide what culture you choose to be part of. If you're arguing that it does, then you are arguing for an autocratic and essentialist mindset.

This doesn't mean everyone's the same, it just means their differences are greater than melanin content
For instance, Karen's parents are from Nigeria but she has adopted the ideological and cultural precepts that are identical to many 8th-generation european-americans who attend liberal arts colleges and work in white collar workplaces in NYC and DC.
Meanwhile, what is my culture supposed to be? I have friends+family of basically every race and religion and I've adopted many different cultural mores and understandings. But you can't look at my name or skin color and tell me what culture I adhere to.
Even the show Friends is evidence of this. I don't know that the typical white person in America shared the cultural values of the characters of the show, they represented a very small slice of the social mileu of the United States.
The larger the group the less homogenous it's going to be as a general rule, there are 200 million white folks in America and an antifa dude in Portland doesn't have a whole lot in common with a coal minor in McDowell County, WV. The same goes for smaller minority groups too.
Witness the term "Asian" often used as a catchall. The Hmong immigrant who works in food service in Queens has the same culture as the 3rd-generation Bangladeshi computer programmer in SF who does improv comedy on the side? I dunno about that.
Yes due to historical segregation you're going to get at least some correlation between color and culture but it's going to be rough if you make automatic assumptions. As intermarriage increases+globalization, these categories become *less descriptive* not more
