The other histories listed in the foreign policy link all deserve wider readership within the study of global politics, to be sure. But it would be nice if Thucydides was more widely read too -- of course, I mean this in a different sense...
Here, I do not mean read by more people. Bits of TPW are assigned far too often. No, by more widely read, I mean I wish that folks read more widely within Thucydides' text than the Melian Dialogue. It's so much more interesting than the IR primers would ever let on.
