Hey, a little PSA here: Life is hard lately. There’s a LOT going on. Winter is closer than we think, which can make things feel harder. If you’re struggling now, perhaps think about ways you can start to get help now, before winter hits? You’re valued & we’re glad you’re here.
Most mental health therapists have switched over to teletherapy, and it works pretty well in a pandemic. Ways I’ve made it better for me: I call from my car, away from other occupants of my home. I found a COVID-safe coffee shop to order take out coffee/breakfast on therapy days.
There’s also lots of medications that can give you the boost you need, and it’s a show of strength, not weakness, to acknowledge the need and use them. Figuring out the right one and dose can take a while, hence my call for starting to think about this now, not in November. 💙
Happy to chat, be an accountability buddy, or provide other support for those folks who need it. Just know that it’s okay, none of us were ever designed to run at peak performance in a poorly-managed pandemic where nothing is normal.
