the power move for @JeffBezos is to simply say "OK, if you really want we can turn off the 3rd party seller program and inventory everything on @amazon. Would that be more or less competitive? Would that be better or worse for consumers?"

Consumers are getting MASSIVE benefit by @amazon
allowing 3rd party sellers and it is why @JeffBezos can demand so much of his team... he can point to the 3rd party sellers and say "look, they are providing better products and services at a better price, we should too!"

Allowing 3rd party sellers would be like @google having a button that says "remove Google services" from search results OR @apple allowing 3rd party app stores OR Facebook allowing you to take your social graph to another platform
