I honestly can't wait for the day that I have so little to worry about in life that I have the time to be offended by someone saying "get them up ye girls" on the telly. https://twitter.com/thejournal_ie/status/1288531873359110150
On a serious note - this is an accurate depiction of how far we have to before we
1- stop shaming periods
2- stop shaming women's bodies
3- give proper education on ALL hygiene products available to women

When I was younger I was terrified of pads because I thought the sticky bit went on your skin and you literally had to plaster up your fanny for a week. I was NEVER told about tampons at school or at home.
Maybe if I had been given an education in these things i wouldn't have spent days hiding in the loo in school because I leaked through my pad and ruined my skirt.
Moral of the story is- periods are not shameful & it's fucking disgusting that a tampon ad has been banned in 2020
