This is continued good news, but we need to wait a few more days to be confident the Marlins didn't transmit COVID-19 to the Phillies.
That's why I applaud the decision to plan to restart the Phils on Saturday. IF no positives between now and Friday, play ball. https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1288503658418712586

Friday would mark 5 full days off. If no cases appear by then, unlikely to see a lot thereafter (but still possible!).
It's a real interesting (if unfortunate, wholly avoidable, and small) experiment in how easily (or not) COVID-19 transmits on-field in an MLB game.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked either way.
The games were outdoors and baseball is *mostly* distanced, so maybe inter-team transmission risk is low.
But if players weren't wearing masks, you still have hitters and catchers, and baserunners and infielders close.

Regardless, this is only one series so it won't provide anything close to proof either way. And I'd be verrrrrry careful about extending the findings to, say, Little League.
But it'll be a really interesting data point on COVID transmission in baseball.
