Speaking of nothing, here's a picture of feline Rachilde, drawn for her by F-A Cazals, which she used as personal stationery
after spending much of her life trying to translate her gender difference into words, she settled on werewolf late in life. People thought she was being provocative. But in some ways she was totally serious.
she didn't like being photographed, but there are pics of older Rachilde. Lots of her artist friends tried to capture her in sketches. There are many of them, all so different, but you can recognize R in all of them.
remembering on this random Wed how I agonized about which images to include in Before Trans. Figured I'd drop some of them here. Here's another one that's not actually in the book.
