🔮PERSONAL BRANDING 101🔮: Theme

Personal branding is the most important aspect to starting, growing and scaling a business! 📈

Let’s say for example, we’re comparing our businesses to plants.🌱🌾

👇🏾👇🏾[THREAD]👇🏾👇🏾
Personal branding is the seed that we must all plant before we have our tall, healthy and fruitful “plant”. It is that initial idea, the origin, the first spark of inspiration, the first breathe of life. So today, I want to discuss some of the “roots” of our “seed”.
🔮Starting with THEME.🔮

✨1/7: In 2020, there are over 200 MILLION😱 businesses worldwide, 50 MILLION😫 new businesses born yearly, which makes that approximately 137 THOUSAND😳 businesses created DAILY. To make a long story short, competition is unavoidable in the marketplace.
✨2/7: Every idea or thought🧠 you have had about your own business, about several other people have had that same exact idea before you, and will definitely have it after you. Competition may be steep... 🕳 but that does not mean you won’t stand out in the crowd. 👇🏾
✨2/7a: Which is why it is absolutely crucial‼️ to have an overall theme that represents the identity of your business.
✨3/7: Having a good theme helps you stand out against competitors and naturally attracts your targeted consumers to your business. There are 4 main questions you should consider when creating a theme: 👇🏾
✨3/7a:

- Is there a back story?✔️
- Is it inclusive?✔️
- Is it appealing?✔️
- Is there a strong association back to you?✔️
✨4/7: Is there a back story? Is there a reasoning behind why you made this theme the way you did? The more personable your theme is to you, the more people will gravitate towards it. Why? Because, people love to personally connect to others, it is in our human nature. 👇🏾
✨4/7a: And, knowing that your theme relates back to something you hold dear to your heart, people will be able to empathize and support who you are not only as a entrepreneur or CEO, but as a real person. And, that’s what really counts.
✨5/7: Is it inclusive? Personally (in my opinion) and morally, is your theme also relatable to others and what they may prefer? Regardless of if you have a targeted niche audience you want to provide for or not, is this theme something people can appreciate? 👇🏾
✨5/7a: Your theme can be as personable as you’d like it to be, but if it is not connecting to your targeted niche you may need to go back to the drawing board. Your theme has to be balanced, personable enough to you as well as to them.. listen and change direction if necessary.
✨6/7: Is it appealing? Is your theme aesthetically pleasing to look at it? This is also another super important question to acknowledge while creating a theme. At the end of the day, everyone tends to judge a book by its cover. 👇🏾
✨6/7a: And if your theme is not well thought out, looks sloppy or cheap... you can say goodbye to your business. It won’t be taken seriously. No one wants to shop at or be associated with a business that looks ugly to the eye. 👇🏾
✨6/7b: Make sure you spend plenty of time perfecting your color schemes, different texts, backgrounds and images you choose to represent your business.
✨7/7: Is there a strong association to your theme that will always remind your consumers of you? What I mean by this is, when you have a strong theme it’s hard to forget and it stays forever with your consumers. 👇🏾
✨7/7a: For example, when you think of the colors red and white what businesses pop up in your head? Target? Or maybe its Walgreens? Possibly even CVS. The idea is to always make sure your theme can stick subconsciously to your consumers. 👇🏾
✨7/7b: When you think of the colors purple, black and white I want INSPOJUICE to automatically pop in your head. This just continues to allow you to not only stand out beyond your competitors but to also remain relevant!
